My experience as a beekeeper and working with encaustic beeswax has given me an appreciation and insight into concerns for the modern honeybee. In addition, birds have also been a source of love and fascination for me. I’m a novice birder and nature enthusiast. My concerns for preserving pollinator and bird habitats are a theme that are becoming more intrinsic in my paintings.
As a subject, birds and bees continue to hold my interest and are a recurring theme in my work.
