About the Artist:

Giselle Gautreau is a painter who works primarily in oils and encaustic. Her work often finds inspiration in the landscape and in nature. 

Giselle holds a BFA in Painting from Maine College of Art.  She earned her MFA in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University. 

Giselle's paintings are in many private and corporate collections.  Giselle has received awards for her work, including a Professional Artist Fellowship from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and an Individual Artist Fellowship from the Virginia Commission for the Arts.   Giselle currently works and teaches at McGuffey Art Center in downtown Charlottesville,Virginia where she is a resident artist.
